Who are we?

Jeremias

I was born and raised in Kalix, a small coastal town in the North of Sweden. My childhood was spent outdoors. Whether we were skiing, picking berries, or exploring the forest and rivers, nature has always been the soundtrack to my life. I am truly myself when I am outside. It is exactly where I am meant to be.

After I finished school I worked in a Stockholm power plant. The long days of work were spent inside amongst harsh chemicals and industrial noises. A sudden opportunity took me from the city of Stockholm to the beaches of Cyprus. One year and a couple of jobs later I found myself at Outdoor Academy in Finland. Here I began my learning experience as a professional guide. Along with valuble technical backcountry skills I learned a lot about myself as a leader. Somewhere along the way I picked up a camera and for the last four years photography combined with the outdoors has become my biggest passion.

I know that I will land in the right place, with the right job, at the right time, but for now I will just enjoy the journey.

I was raised in the Connecticut, the suburbs of New York City. Growing up, I was very accustomed to city life. After high school I pursued that lifestyle in London where I studied Theatre Art. During my studies I noticed a common theme amongst my projects; trees, nature, and wandering.

I moved back to the United States to New York City to begin my career in prop making, but within a year I packed up my bags and moved to Alaska. Waiting there for me was the start of a new life filled with adventure, travel, and a new found passion. It was there that I learned how to run sled dogs. That summer I learned what makes me happy; the outdoors, physical labor, and animals. I followed those themes all around the world.

From Alaska to Wyoming to New Zealand, to Sweden. All of my adventures lead me to meet Jeremias in the remote village of Särkimukka, in the north of Sweden. We fell in love and dove head first into a life together filled with adventure. I have always described myself as an ambitious vagabond. From the outside it may look like we are aimlessly wandering through life, but a closer look will reveal that we are always looking for things to challenge ourselves, and to ultimately find serenity.

“...May you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be...”
